About a hundred years ago, my father, Shri. Dattatray V. Kamat Kimanikar,with the imperative support of Shri. Shankarrao S. Nadkarni took the initiative to start Shri Bhadrakali High School in Gokarn. At that time, there was no high school in Gokarn, and he began his association with the institution as a teacher.Over the years, Shri Bhadrakali High School has fulfilled a much-needed educational role in Gokarn and has helped numerous students build successful careers and shape their futures. However, after the school became government-aided, it, like many other institutions, began facing financial difficulties. The school eventually found itself facing the unfortunate possibility of closure. It was at this critical juncture that the Shrii Chami Vidyavahini Trust(R) stepped in and became deeply involved in the revival and upliftment of the school. I am delighted and hopeful that, with the Trust's dedicated efforts, the school will once again regain its past glory and continue its proud tradition of serving the people of Gokarn. It is particularly heartening that all the members of the Trust are former students of this very school. I, Ravi G. Haldipur, am a retired teacher currently residing in Karwar. For the past 8 years, due to severe kidney illness, I have been undergoing dialysis treatment twice a week at Karwar Hospital. My monthly expenses for treatment amount to approximately ₹20,000 to ₹25,000. In this time of distress, Smt. Jyoti Mirjankar and all the trustees have helped me immensely, for which I convey my heartfelt thanks. Furthermore, upon my request regarding my health condition, Shrii Chami Vidhyavahini Trust generously agreed to provide me assistance of ₹15,000 every month. Although located in a rural area, Bhadrakali High School has earned a distinguished reputation across the state through its academic and sporting achievements. Many of our students come from economically disadvantaged families, and supporting their education has always been a priority. We are deeply grateful to Smt. Jyoti R. Mirjanakar, President of Shrii Chami Vidyavahini Trust, and the office bearers of the Trust, for their continuous financial assistance and support towards the education of our students. I sincerely appreciate and express my heartfelt gratitude to Shrii Chami Vidhyavahini Trust (R), led by Mrs. Jyoti R. Mirjankar, for its valuable contribution towards the academic and overall development of Shri Bhadrakali High School, Gokarna. The Trust has renovated and equipped our Science Laboratory, providing students with opportunities to learn through practical experiments. This has increased their interest, curiosity, confidence, and scientific thinking. The impact is clearly reflected in our results: in 2025–26, Science achieved a 100% pass rate, with all 38 students passing, while the qualitative result improved from 64.46% to 72.09%. The Trust has also supported our school through a kitchen and cooking equipment, school building renovation, desks and benches, uniforms, fee support for 8th-standard students, and Smart TVs for better learning. These selfless initiatives have created a better learning environment and inspired both students and teachers.
